Problem description: Flash based Nokia firewall fails to boot up after an O.S. installation. Also, IPSO installation fails at the boot manager because no valid device is found to install to.

Error messages:

BOOTMGR[29]> boot
/dev/wd0f on /mnt: Incorrect super block.
Error: /image on /dev/wd0f
       does not exist or is not a file
umount: /mnt: not currently mounted
boot failed

Solution:

BOOTMGR[30]> sh
# disklabel -r /dev/wd0s4 > /tmp/label
super block size 0
# disklabel -R /dev/wd0s4 /tmp/label
# exit
